So sorry for the hiatus. I haven’t forgotten about this. I just started my second year in pharmacy school and keeping up and getting used to tests every week is taking a bit of getting used to. More bad news….
So the update date will be moved to 8/16/15. I know I keep pushing it back but this week has been so busy with work and I have literally been working full shifts for the last 8 days and if that wasn’t enough because I’m a new intern I have all sorts of online assessments and videos I need to watch. Some pros would be that I’m getting paid well and the cons would be I’m tired as hell. The only thing I have literally done this last week is work, do work assessments from home, and watch detective conan (i’m addicted right now)

I emulate to be a leader on this continent. As the third princess of the country of Rochelle, 生を世に受けました (I received this world? I don’t get this phrase). In other words it means that I have the heavy responsibility of leading the people.
Ever since I came to comprehend the world, I believed that Rochelle itself will bring peace to this continent and that it was the only righteous country that could do so. Only under the rule of Rochelle would the people be able to find peace of mind.
And so, I never thought of questioning that. Whenever I would reveal myself to the citizens near the castle, everyone would show me their smiling faces cheering “Princess Herge Banzai (hurray)”. That’s why I thought that for those people, wasn’t there anything I could do.
Royalty couldn’t appear on the front lines, and as a princess it wasn’t even remotely feasible. I did try running it by mother and father but they just said “If you were ever hurt the people would become sad”.
Like that, the days passed as I tried to find something I could do. Both of my elder sisters said that didn’t I know that it was impossible “Herge’s heart is all that’s needed to save the people” and “what are you saying, there’s no way you could do anything there”.
One day, Oriel who was looking over me said that “If I may be able to give you some advice. Your majesty, it’s just as you say. If you can’t stand on the front lines then how about offering healing around that area?”
My eyes froze from hearing Oriel’s words.

But that didn’t continue for long. I had forgotten that both countries had started fighting each other.
I don’t know the details but I came to set foot in a village from the enemy country.
[This village is that was oppressed by this country’s king and the people of this village that were suffering requested out help. We will go first and secure the village. Princess…no, once Seijo-sama’s safety is established please follow us. Please heal the villagers.]
As I recalled the goddess’ words, without thinking of anything but helping people proceeded to the village but there was only a trampled and burned down village there. There wasn’t even one person alive.

As I was about to jump in, I was stopped by Oriel.
[Herge-sama, please calm down. Where is the forward unit!?]
Oriel instructed the forces to spread out and look at the situation, After a while the commanding officer came out and laid out a carpet in front of me and said, [Ha, Seijo-sama, as you ordered. We finished annihilating the villagers who resisted to the very end. As planned, we can use this place as a stopover point. As one would expect of someone with the king’s blood. I am amazed at your wisdom.]

Why were we doing these crazy things?
It was simple.
We were burned so we are going to burn them. A child’s reasoning? I know, but my wife or daughter’s regret, our unbearable feelings… its already all messed up.
Normally, we were just adventurers. We had good friends, blessed with a wife and daughter. One day when monsters came into the village we fell in a desperate situation.
When we realized we came to be known as the heroes of that city. There was where I met my wife and my daughter was born. Compared to any treasure or any amount of money they were irreplaceable to me.
My partner raiya replied that [My bad but I too had a promised person with a long relationship]. Its definitely that village girl. There was an age difference but with Raiya as a partner there wasn’t anything to be worried about.
[And finding a partner for you was really hard, wasn’t it.] I called out to a magician who was related often with this city. Why was finding a partner hard? It’s simple. It was because I was the son of the lord of the village and people always thought what is he thinking becoming an adventurer.
[Then, Mob-san’s daughter is fine right] was the reply that was returned to me which caused me to lose control. [Do it after you defeat me!!] was my reply in the middle of the tavern….those days were fun.
One day, we got word that Rochelle was advancing towards the village, Raiya’s lover was living in. It was being led by the Seijo-sama so we thought that it was relief efforts. Even in the empire, her efforts had entered our ears. But Raiya didn’t calm down from that. From that we accepted a quest which told us to go to the village and observe the Rochelle army.
And that was the start of the breaking. The village was reduced to ashes and there was nothing but bodies. Holding her in his arms, I didn’t have any words for Raiya.
[I’m alright Mob, Curse.]
Saying that while crying had no persuasive power.
We reported this to the lord but we couldn’t just sit back.
The seijo’s efforts were heard everywhere so no one belived the information we reported, which turned everyone into our enemies.
After a month, using the village as the base, Rochelle attacked this city. The opponent’s actions were unexpected so the resistance wasn’t enough. And so the city was left with barely any survivors. Finally the big shots realized that it was Rochelle using the seijo as a sheild and a flag to attack us. But for me, I couldn’t care less. After realizing Rochelle attacking us, we started retaliating.
For us it was already too slow. Raiya and Curse’s eyes were already clouded.
There was no reason to retreat. Our treasure won’t come back anymore.
That’s why we didn’t have any morals or ethics. We weren’t any different than bandits. No, bandits still leave behind things that can be used alive. so they were better than us who got rid of everything.

And so we passed by a flag that we thought we had seen before.

After attacking that village the strife became more grim. The opponent’s cites still kept falling but the opponent also started attacking. This side and that side too, a number of cities and villages had burned down.

Well first lets proceed with the women’s story. The guys also had various things happen but, well they were lacking in ability so I left them out. The next time I come up with something I will talk with them.

If there’s a light battle or a battle without any humans, then I’m not to be alerted when I’m sleeping as long its judged that it can be handled properly.

Maoh….that too is according to the template. The king that rules the demons (mazoku) and apparitions (mamono). Well my definition is vague so I attached the definitions of this world. Well like there would be demon king who would just come out and say “show me your skills, ore ga maoh da (i am the demon king)”. Right now there seem to be two Demon kings on this continent. I will think of their names if I ever meet them.
Regarding this continent…I can’t understand its size based just on the conversation but the current location the dungeon is at is part of the country of Rochelle. 15 km from here there seems to be a city. “Shit! Isn’t 15 km too close?” I panicked thinking that but I guess this is a different world. There are no cars in this world and travel is by horses. Also outside the city there are a lot of mamono so travel is made more difficult. I guess Luna was right in situating me in this location.
Regarding the country of Rochelle…It’s said to be one of the five top nations in the continent. It said to be extremely powerful country that’s not looked down upon by others. Right now its in the middle of a struggle with another country with regards to territory. I felt that there was some exageration since in front of me there was the country’s princess.
I don’t know if she would tell me the situation regarding the country’s defence but when I asked her the population of the capital she gave the answer easily. [200,000 people reside in the flourishing capital and with benevolent king will continue to increase.]
200,000 people huh…As I thought, its the level of medieval Europe.
In regards to currency…it moves by the 10 incremental rule which helps me out a lot.

Well let me tell you what transpired in the post-op debriefing.

Let me explain the events that occurred at 1st interception point alpha.
It took place at the center crossroads of the first floor.
There G company’s 1st squad was used as a decoy to lure the enemy in and attract their attention.
Starting of the battle was delayed slightly because their goals weren’t as clear as they could have been.
In a way it helped us out since we could accomplish the secondary objective by capturing the two slaves.
The primary objective was successful as the enemy was caught in the crossfire in the middle of the crossroad. Of course there weren’t any guns or anything like that.
The third phase of the plan occurred as the enemy was surrounded by my subordinates.
Eh, where was this military operation from? Fantasy right? No, no, its like something I saw in some light novel where the monsters were free to move around preventing the enemy to attack them efficiently.
Well, anyhow, they finally realized that falling in this situation was part of the plan and that they just got trapped.

The goblins and slimes took about 7 days to grow exponentially. Within that period, everything from small animals to large animals and even some outsider goblins that entered were exterminated.
The results of the 7 days earned me 332 DP.
Using this, I fixed the dungeon’s deficiencies and made it so that it would be easier to work. I added more traps to support us. The new goblins and slimes started being brought in to prepare for the next enemy.
And so 2 days later [Humans] were detected by the slime scouts.
Right now the main force is on the 3rd floor in the war room being briefed on the situation.
[Right now we have detected 5 enemies near the dungeon. We will be able to obtain more information when they enter the labyrinth. I will convey the preliminary information. There is two front-line spear men, and 2 more support-type magicians behind the first 2. And finally there is 1 thief-type who is thought to be acting as their scout.]
The goblins and slimes were listening without showing any particular response. Aren’t you guys a little too dependable.
[Breaking them down by gender, the front two and the 1 in the rear are men and the remaining two are women. My impressions are that its a stable party…formation. The front-line will engage the enemy while the rear attacks with long-range attacks. The thief will use his speed to find the enemy and will support the entire battle.

[The enemies are experts so be prepared. G unit will deploy 3 squads to attack and two squads will standby as my guard. S unit will deploy 2 squads to backup the nearby G unit. The other 3 squads of S unit will be deployed in the 1 in a 1000 chance that the enemy won’t be taken out by the main force in which case they will launch a surprise attack to eliminate the enemy.]
G unit are the goblins and the S unit of courser are the slimes.
[The interception location will be the back of the 1st floor. Then let me convey the operation goals. Primary goal is to annihilate the enemies. Secondary goal is to capture the enemy. In regards to the secondary goal, I would like the leader but its alright if you give priority to the primary objective. Then the ETA for the enemy is 1430 hours so standby until 1400.]
The secondary goal of capturing them alive was to get some information from the outside. It will help me manage the dungeon more effectively but this time I think it will be difficult to capture the enemy.
In any case, I can’t judge the situation until they step withing the dungeon allowing me to analyze them.

First I check the statuses of the men…of course I already reported the information to G unit and S unit. The average is around 40 huh. From our perspective that’s plenty strong but the statuses proportions compared to their levels show that my subordinates are stronger, aren’t they? After finishing giving out orders, I opened up the map to see G unit and S unit approach the enemy at point alpha. The enemy markers seem to be slowly moving forward. Monitoring them in real time I can see that the two girls’ statuses aren’t looking good.
The heroine flag and the troublesome flag usually seem to coincide but from my perspective who knows nothing about this world, this royal and the escort are greatly appreciated. Using the word protection if I can get them on my side even though it might be troublesome will have great deal of merit.

The smart phone’s alarm echoed. As always, I woke up and got ready for work.

Getting up, I don’t seem to have any of my normal obligations to fulfill.
Should I say, the me now, is sleeping inside a mental hospital and that I actually haven’t gone to another world?
If I think about it, whether I’m in a drama or a delusion. I don’t really want to be reckless. I still have my dignity and morals after all.
Well. Let’s stop escaping from reality. Let’s start managing the dungeon quickly.
But I have no choice but to start teaching (battle tactics) and raising the goblins and the green slimes under me. Its sad that even though a day has passed, I haven’t gained any DP. It seems that monsters made inside a dungeon and their mana won’t earn me any DP. Which reminds me how do I go about earning DP anyway. The goal of this dungeon is make mana flow back in a cycle which basically means that I need to collect mana from outside and convert it into DP. That’s right, from the outside, meaning that I can’t earn any from my monsters. Basically, even if the monsters spend use mana inside the dungeon I can at least absorb it to mitigate some of their maintenance costs. I can also inject my own mana directly into the dungeon core to change it into DP but personally that seems a bit iffy. I don’t know even know when my life could end, I can’t just use my mana, my only lifeline, and convert it into DP. Still it seems to be relief system in a way, since the dungeon core can earn DP from mana at 10% efficiency (10 mana= 1 DP). My maximum mana is currently 690 and so I can change it all into 69 DP. Honestly, I just want to shut myself in for a year and accumulate DP.
But, the way to earn DP would be to invite enemies into the dungeon and kill them, that would be easiest way to earn DP. When you kill an enemy, it seems their MP+HP gets converted to DP at 100% efficiency. In reality, I haven’t killed anything yet thought. In other words, I have no data. Even using the tutorial, I’m the type that can’t believe if its true or not. Lets use MP for the next enemy. In other words lets hit them with a magic attack. Since inside the dungeon, the enemies MP is scattered and turned into DP. The last way is the least efficient to earn DP but at the same time the easiest way to earn. Any living things that stay inside the dungeon for more than a hour will automatically start having their MP being absorbed and converted to DP. The efficiency is that after an hour 1 person can earn 1 DP. It goes up if they are a powerful magician or a hero but normally it’s 1 DP/hr. Prospectively speaking, in the future creating a city inside the dungeon would be a good way to earn DP semi-permanently. But that’s difficult. Until now dungeons have been the entrance to death to people, so people living inside the dungeon is something of the distant future. Wild animals are fine but that too is a little iffy.
Shall I return to the beginning, that’s why right now, defeating the enemies that come to the dungeon is the only thing I can do. Right now the goblin and green slime subordinates are strangely strong according to Luna. The earthling that’s me might be the cause but for me that’s not all that assuring. However strong they are racially speaking, they can’t hope to defeat a LV 100 enemy. Personally, I can’t relax until I have subordinates that can defeat heroes or demon kings with ease. In manga and light novels, when you get monsters that are stronger than normal to be your comrades (nakama), they would the same as reliable partners. But that’s just self-conceit in of it self.
That’s why I will give my subordinates the weapon called the the internet to use freely…

The orthodox labyrinth. The dungeon made of stone is here. Here there a strategical net of traps laid out. Also there is the slimes’ exclusive strategy of attack in the narrow corridor. This would be place where they can use CQB to the best of their abilities.
2nd Floor
Using grasslands and the forest to create a field type battlefield. Everything in here is to be used at your own discretion to make traps so that the enemy falls into confusion.
3rd Floor
The final defensive line and the floor that has my room. The dungeon core is also here. So using that, we can corner the enemy and teach them that letting your guard down is the greatest enemy.

After saying that, I called each slime and goblin one by one. I can summon them using the Dungeon Skill Monster Summon Skill so its pretty convenient. So let me explain the monsters’ statuses. Monster can be called using my mana from the summoning circle. Basically, Spending 300 DP: Both the summoning circles for goblins and slimes cost me 100 DP. Each one’s maintenance costs is 2 DP. So I have about a 100 of both slimes and goblins (50:50) loitering about. This will also probably increase based on their rank and rarity huh…(he’s talking about summoning cost).

The slimes from games and stories have varied stats. Soft body is probably because they are living creatures. There also setting where they can be defeated by anything except fire magic. Well the weak image was formed by that game anyways (I think it was dragon quest?). But even in that game if you raised it to Lv 99 it would become legendary.
[What are you talking about? Having slimes be higher level than their summoner but if you look at their statuses buhaaa, what are these slimes and goblins?! They have way too many skills!!! And then compared to their level their intelligence and magic ability is so freaking high!! Earth is scary!!!]

Well with this feeling, I finally made it. Oh, the prerequisite condition was all the rooms had to be connected so I couldn’t use my plan to isolate my room. Well, somehow I will figure it out.

So if I let it get taken away 3 times then I won’t be able to manage the dungeon. It won’t be GAME OVER but it will definitely make things hard. Also if I don’t have at least 10 DP then the dungeon wont stay active. It seems its job is to act like a bank for the dungeon. So first of all deposited 10 DP into the core and stored the rest in the other cores. Moreover the core seems to collect the yearly maintenance fess and if there isn’t enough it will reduce its size accordingly. Needlessly efficient in that way. If you think about it, its possible to manage multiple dungeons.

Basically, The world’s environment has started worsening whether it be monsters or people (there are various races apparently). If it continues this way not only will the civilization that uses magic at its foundation will collapse but also any living things that use magic to live will go extinct. Well, that’s something that will happen after a couple of thousand years. The primary strategy is if you don’t want a god-like existence destroying the current world then the only way to restore the circulation of magic is by creating a dungeon. The dungeon will become an ground to lay the bait to kill any intelligent life whether it be a demon king, a hero, or even wild monsters so that you can recover the world magic. The result of the primary strategy, wait this isn’t because of me, I think. This primary strategy was originally entrusted to a native of Alourit. But it’s that, this world’s civilization level is that of the middle ages in Europe. So, the dungeon master was taken by their greed and lost control trying to take over the world resulting in being killed. The final result being failure. The second strategy is where I come in. Prologue Part 2 – I Still Refuse

An extremely troubling question, if I was in the middle of work then I would be restricted to eating out (probably at a convenient store). But right now I’m at home on my day off, I think that currently in Japan there is almost no adult male who can’t make his own food. May be even as a student they can make their own food. I’m not referring to the 3-minute ramen that you just need to add hot water to. If you’re living by yourself then its important to keep a balance between eating out and making your own food. But I just remembered something game changing.

The grandma living next to me in the same building gave me some pickled vegetables to eat. For me her pickled vegetables are too good to pass up. It is good by itself, with rice, with tea and even with some sake (alcohol). But just by itself isn’t going to cut it so lets also accompany it with some rice.
